1972 Volkswagen "Beetle" with engine transplant- with suprise in trunk!
This owner/restorer kept wonderful records of his work in restoring/modifying this car. He chose a 2.8 liter Chevy V6 and a Datsun/Nissan 240Z rear end. He told me he tried a Corvette rear end setup, but it was too wide for the car. I can't imagine the hours and money spent in doing this modification. Imagine how this might have sold if it had been engineered this way, with automatic transmission and A/C!
