Brighouse Armed Police Arrest Sawnoff Shotgun Gang
From Evening Courier:
THREE men from Brighouse are still being questioned by police after a gang waved a sawn-off shotgun in front of horrified pub customers.
Police were called to The Royal Oak at Lower Edge Road, Elland, on Thursday night, after reports of three men brandishing a sawn-off shotgun.
Shots were reported to have been fired.
The men were seen in a dark-coloured Land Rover with the weapon. As they fled the pub car park, they crashed into a wall before driving off towards Rastrick.
Armed police tailed the vehicle and stopped it outside the Black Swan, Briggate, Brighouse.
Three men, two aged 34 and a 35-year-old, were arrested at the scene and taken to Halifax police station.
This afternoon (Friday), officers went to a flat on the Whinney Hill Park Estate in Brighouse. Police confirmed it was related to the investigation but would not give any further details.
Both pubs were cordoned off while police carried out investigations.
