Downey Three Car TC -- April 10, 2008
A three car traffic accident at a dangerous Downey intersection sent six people to local hospitals Thursday afternoon. The TC occurred around 2:45 at the intersection of Lakewood Blvd and Rose St. According to witnesses, both the driver of the white pickup truck and the driver of the blue compact car tried to beat a yellow to red light. The truck sped up as the light turned yellow and the driver of the car turned in front of the truck. The truck swerved but was struck by the car. The truck then spun into the Jeep waiting on Rose Street for the light to change.
