Old Hyundai Santro (1 lit) taken to 145 kmph in night rain
Here is a video I shot while driving my old Hyundai Santro (1 lit) on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway in moderate rain at 145 kmph in the night. The rain starts a few minutes into the drive. The car has 5J alloy wheels and tubeless Bridgestone S322 tyres. It runs on 97 octane petrol, and is otherwise bone-stock. The forum www.team-bhp.com has many members, including Hyundai-haters, who believe/spread nonsense to the effect that Santro is not stable at speeds in excess of 100 kmph, "shakes" at 120 kmph, etc. The moderators of this forum believe this nonsense and refuse to let me post videographic evidence to the contrary. See this video and judge for yourself as my old Santro (which has run 78000 kms) handles the wet roads with poise at 145 kmph.
