Corn Harvest with older combine
Harvesting corn in Ontario with a 1974 White 7800 combine, powered with an un-muffled 400 cubic inch Chrysler industrial gasoline engine.
The corn plants are pulled down through a pair of high speed intermeshing fluted rollers which snap the cobs and send them into the threshing mechanism. An insane blizzard of moving parts then separates out the kernels using the rasp bar cylinder and concave screen(made from 1/4 inch steel plates), shaking sieves about 52" square, and a blast of wind from an axial fan.
